How much time to charge my car?

The kilometers that can be traveled and the duration of the recharging process obviously depend on the electric vehicle model and driving style.
Charging capacities up to 7.4 kW require prolonged stops (several hours), powers in the 11-22 kW range are suitable for short stops (1-2 hours), higher powers are necessary for charging during a stop (service stations).
As for the recharge up to the power of 3.7 kW or 7.4 kW, all electric and hybrid cars, BEV or PHEV, are substantially equivalent to each other since they all use the same technology in single-phase alternating current (230 V ).
As for charging at higher power levels (if the vehicles are designed for it) the charging systems used by the cars differ in terms of the type of current used (alternating or continuous) and the other characteristics of the charging system (connector, communication protocol).

The table below shows the three charging systems used for the main electric car models currently on sale in Europe.
