Ultra fast charging over 22kW

Short stop in public buildings, in common parts of residential buildings, in motorway arteries or service stations

Some parking areas for electric vehicles in commercial buildings such as shopping centers, hotels, restaurants and cinemas can be equipped with fast recharging points to guarantee sufficient recovery of the vehicle's autonomy in a short time (for example, from half an hour to an hour). Taking into account the overall power commitment of the plant, the number of recharging points and the presence of a power management system, the latter is typically located at values above 43 kW.

The same type of richarge is useful, for example, also in business buildings to allow recharging during a meeting or in parking lots for company fleets, commercial vehicles or car sharing services. Even the most valuable or larger residential buildings can be equipped with fast charging facilities.

The presence in the territory of this type of recharge, even if its use for most drivers could be occasional, helps to reassure the user and is essential to guarantee the necessary flexibility in the case of daily travel beyond the autonomy of the vehicle.
The presence of the fast recharge service in self-service mode in commercial buildings, whether offered for free or for a fee, instead contributes to attracting visitors and customers.

The fast recharge service is obviously necessary also along the roads, for example in the service areas, and for particular fleets of vehicles that require a restoration of the battery recharge in a very short time (for example taxis and commercial vehicles for urban use) . In these cases, parking of the vehicle has the sole purpose of restoring the battery, therefore the recharging power must be at least 50 kW to supply energy equal to approximately 100 km of travel in less than twenty minutes of rest (the time of a coffee or a snack).

For this power band, electric vehicles basically use three different DC or AC charging technologies included in the IEC / CENELEC technical standards implemented in Italy by the Italian Electrotechnical Committee. To offer the fast recharge service to the greatest number of cars in a neutral way, it is necessary that the fast charging systems are compatible with the three systems actually in use in Europe: direct current with CCS Combo 2 connector, direct current with CHAdeMO connector, three-phase alternating current with Type 2 connector.

The most practical and most convenient solution for this purpose are the multistandard charging stations, each equipped with three connectors designed for fast charging.

CPMS offers both individual components and complete solutions that can be highly customized, sharing ease of installation, electrical safety, robustness, expandability and advanced features.
